Mohamed Naim

Mohamed Naim is a Ph.D. candidate in the National Sustainable Development and Climate Change program in Italy, hosted by the University of Messina and coordinated by the University School of Advanced Studies (IUSS) of Pavia, under the supervision of Prof. Brunella Bonaccorso. He previously served as a Hydro-geospatial Analyst at the Tensift River Basin Agency in Morocco, where he worked on processing and analyzing hydro-climatological data, monitoring hydro-meteorological networks, and contributing to the development of a flood forecasting and early warning system (SPAC ABHT). Currently, he is conducting part of his research at the Climate Hazards Center, Department of Geography, University of California, Santa Barbara. His work focuses on modeling and predicting drought at subseasonal-to-seasonal scales, analyzing its impacts on agriculture and water storage systems. Mohamed is passionate about cooking, traveling, and connecting with people from around the world. He also enjoys playing and watching soccer.
