Bio:
Disha is a 4th year undergraduate student at UC Santa Barbara. She is studying statistics and data science and is passionate about environmental change. She has worked on a project with Greg Husak and the Climate Hazards Center to analyze seasonal changes of precipitation in Africa, and explore the relationships and trends between precipitation, potential evapotranspiration, and sea surface temperatures to identify independent drivers of potential evapotranspiration. She is now working at the CHC to improve drought early warning data sets for famine-suceptible countries.
Disha loves to play tennis, go outdoors, listen to live music, and try new food places with friends. Her favorite cuisines are Indian and Indonesian/Singaporean.
