Ayodeji is a Ph.D. student at UCSB's Department of Geography. He has a background in Water Resources Management and Agro-Meteorology. His research focuses on the intersection of extreme weather, climate variability, agriculture, and food security in West Africa. He is interested in understanding how drought, heatwaves, precipitation variability, and other climate extremes affect crop productivity across diverse climatic environments, with the goal of developing early warning systems for agriculture that help farmers anticipate weather and climate risk, make informed farming decisions, and improve the resilience and sustainability of agricultural production.
