CHC Research & CHIRPS Data Cited in NASA's "Drought Harms Corn Crops in Southern Africa"

Climate Hazards Center research and CHIRPS data are cited in NASA Earth Observatory's recent publication, "Drought Harms Corn Crops in Southern Africa." The article warns of overly dry conditions at a particularly vulnerable point in the season, just after planting for the 2018-2019 maize season. The effects of drought are particularly apparent in satellite-derived maps, of which CHIRPS contributed to.
